Harry Styles began a 30-show residency at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night, marking all of his U.S. concert dates for his Together, Together tour. The opening night featured a new setlist, the debut live performance of “The Waiting Game,” and a tribute to Dolly Parton.
The concert opened with “Dance No More,” a track from Styles’ album *Harry’s House*, replacing “Are You Listening Yet?” as the opener. Styles acknowledged the New York Knicks’ recent championship win, stating, “How about those Knicks?” before transforming the arena into “Harry’s House.” He also surprised the audience with a performance of “Carolina” from his 2017 self-titled debut album, a song he hadn’t performed live in years. Other songs performed included “Adore You,” “Watermelon Sugar,” “As It Was,” “Music for a Sushi Restaurant,” “Satellite,” and “Cinema.”
Styles thanked his opening act, Jamie xx, and shared a story about his history with the venue. He recalled being told about his first performance at MSG in 2012 with One Direction, when he “kissed the floor” upon arriving and declared, “I’ve made it to Madison Square Garden!” The crowd reacted strongly to the performance of “Kiwi,” with one concertgoer reportedly falling to the floor in excitement.
Among those in attendance were Styles’ fiancée, Zoë Kravitz, CBS Mornings host Gayle King, and Charlie’s Angels star and talk show host Drew Barrymore, who were seen together dancing and filming. Styles also honored country music icon Dolly Parton, who had died Tuesday after battling cancer. This residency marks Styles’ first U.S. tour in three years and his album *Harry’s House* is his first in four years. He previously played 15 shows at MSG in 2022, with a banner commemorating his performances now hanging in the rafters.
