Katseye has canceled their performance at Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields Festival in Irvine, California, this Saturday due to an ankle injury sustained by band member Megan Skiendiel.
The group announced the cancellation on their social media accounts, stating, “We’re so incredibly sorry to share that we are unable to perform at Daisy Chain Fields this Saturday.” Skiendiel sprained her ankle during tour rehearsal and doctors have advised her to rest and heal in preparation for Katseye’s upcoming “Wildworld” tour.
Katseye expressed disappointment at having to miss the festival, noting its focus on “joy and community.” They sent their “love to Olivia and to all of the incredible artists, non-profit organizations and volunteers who have given their time to make this day so special.” The band was scheduled to perform on the Dandelion Stage at 2:15 p.m., between Santigold and Mitski.
Daisy Chain Fields has updated its schedule, with Santigold now filling the slot previously held by Katseye. The impact of Skiendiel’s injury on Katseye’s “Wildworld” tour, which begins in Dublin on September 1, is currently unknown. The tour is scheduled to continue through the U.K. and Europe until mid-September, followed by North American dates in October. Katseye recently achieved their first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with “Wild.”
