The Warner Music Group / Blavatnik Family Foundation Social Justice Fund has announced its first round of 2026 grantees, committing almost $6 million to 17 organizations. Since its 2020 launch, the $100 million fund has allocated over $52 million to groups focused on criminal justice reform, education, and arts and culture, aiming to advance equity.
This latest funding includes six new grantees, with a particular emphasis on organizations leveraging music to drive social progress. Among the first-time recipients is Atlanta Music Project, which provides tuition-free music training, performance opportunities, and college and career preparation to students in under-resourced Atlanta neighborhoods. Brooklyn Youth Sports Club’s VOICES (Vibrations Of Inner-City Excellence and Success) also received funding, supporting Black and Latino youth through songwriting, performance, and sound engineering. Classical Pride, a music festival celebrating LGBTQAI+ composers and musicians, and Generator, a music development organization in the North of England, are also new grantees.
The fund is also expanding its commitment to education. It will support the creation and maintenance of 75 new prison libraries in the United States through a grant to Freedom Reads. Additionally, the Global Black Economic Forum will receive funding to provide education to voters in the criminal legal system, working towards economic freedom for Black and marginalized communities through leadership development, conferences, policy advocacy, and litigation.

The music-focused grantees include: Atlanta Music Project, Black Lives in Music, Brooklyn Youth Sports Club’s VOICES, Classical Pride, Generator, Girls Make Beats, and The Hip Hop Museum.
