Florida Restores 'Gator Bait' Cheer After 6-Year Ban

Florida revived its “gator bait” cheer during Saturday’s season opener against Florida Atlantic. The cheer had been banned in 2020.

The University of Florida discontinued the cheer six years ago due to concerns about possible racial undertones. It returned early in the first quarter of the game played at the Swamp.
