Wolves have announced the signing of Ivory Coast defender Ghislain Konan, bringing him in after the summer transfer window officially closed. The 30-year-old left-back has signed a one-year deal with the club.
Konan joins Wolves with 57 international caps for Ivory Coast. He previously played under Wolves head coach Cesar Peixoto at Gil Vicente in the Portuguese Liga last season. His arrival fills the void left by David Moller Wolfe’s transfer to SV Hamburg on deadline day.
Konan began his career with ASEC Mimosas before moving to Portugal with Vitoria Guimaraes. He then spent five years at Stade de Reims in 2018, followed by stints in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Nassr and Al-Fayha, a half-season with Burgos in the Spanish second tier, and last season with Gil Vicente.
