James Holder, a 54-year-old co-founder of the clothing company Superdry, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for raping a woman in Cheltenham. The assault took place in May 2022 after a night out, when Holder went back to the woman’s flat and attacked her. According to reports, he refused to stop the assault even when she began crying. Holder, from Cheltenham, was convicted of the rape and received the eight-year sentence. The case has drawn attention due to Holder’s role in founding the international fashion brand Superdry.
