The NFL recently released an animated graphic featuring its 32 stars looking at the Vince Lombardi Trophy, set against the backdrop of SoFi Stadium, the venue for next year’s Super Bowl. Garafolo noticed Trevor Lawrence of the Jaguars was positioned prominently in the graphic, suggesting a path to Los Angeles. He shared his observation on X, writing, “From the folks who brought you the Seahawks-Patriots prediction graphic last year comes the story of the (Jacksonville) Jaguars' first Super Bowl win? Trevor Lawrence out in front on the road to LA, while Sam Darnold and Drake Maye are now furthest from the stadium.”
Rapoport echoed the sentiment, noting, “Trevor Lawrence and Dak Prescott are right up there. Interesting.” The analysts’ comments have led to speculation about a Cowboys-Jaguars Super Bowl, though they acknowledge it could be a deliberate attempt to generate discussion.
Despite the buzz, current odds, as reported by Yahoo! Sports’ Ben Fawkes, do not favor either team. The Los Angeles Rams, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens currently lead the predictions, followed by the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs. The Cowboys and Jaguars are not among the top five.
