Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming thriller, *Unabomber*, starring Jacob Tremblay as Ted Kaczynski. The film details Kaczynski’s transformation from a 16-year-old Harvard student into the infamous Unabomber.
The film also features Russell Crowe as Professor Henry Murray, Shailene Woodley as FBI agent Joanne Miller, and supporting actors Annabelle Wallis, Alexander Ludwig, Steven Ogg, and Marc Menchaca. Januz Metz directed the picture, with a script penned by Sam Chalsen and Nelson Greaves.
The story follows Kaczynski, subjected to controversial psychological experiments by Murray, and how his troubled past resurfaces decades later during the manhunt led by Miller. The film highlights the consequences of ambition and isolation. Greaves, Donald J. Lee, and Chalsen are executive producers. Sophie Cassidy produces for 2.0 Entertainment, in association with MRC.
Netflix anticipates *Unabomber* will be a major fall release and notes the trailer has stylistic similarities to the work of David Fincher. The film will debut on September 25.
