Canonical engineer Matthew Kosarek released version 0.11 of Miracle-WM, a Wayland compositor built on the Mir library. The update introduces a new overview mode and window urgency support.
The main addition in Miracle-WM 0.11 is a “very fancy” overview mode designed to help users select windows and workspaces. This feature is accessible by tapping or double-tapping the primary action key. The release also implements support for window urgency, allowing windows or non-focused workspaces to request focus.
Miracle-WM plugins can now publish Inter-Process Communication (IPC) events and handle IPC commands. The update further integrates newer Mir protocol support, including ext_image_copy_capture_manager_v1, ext_output_image_capture_source_manager_v1, ext_foreign_toplevel_list_v1, ext_data_control_manager_v1, ext_input_trigger_action_manager_v1, and ext_input_trigger_registration_manager_v1. Miracle-WM 0.11 is built atop Mir 2.29 and is available on GitHub for those wishing to build it from source.
