Franck Kessié has decided not to join Juventus despite advanced talks, according to Sky Sport Italia. The Ivory Coast international, a free agent after his contract with Al-Ahli expired, informed the Serie A club of his decision.
Juventus had been in negotiations with Kessié’s representatives for over a month, including a recent face-to-face meeting in Milan. The potential transfer appeared more likely after Fabio Miretti’s move to Besiktas, but Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport reports that Kessié has stated “there are no conditions for the deal to be completed.”
Kessié remains available as a free agent, and Gazzetta previously reported interest from Roma. Juventus will host Parma in their first Serie A home game of the season. The Serie A summer transfer window closes on September 1, 2026, at 20:00 local time (19:00 BST).
