Jeremy Piven and Adrian Grenier, known for their roles in “Entourage,” have reunited on screen for a three-minute advertisement for Jake Paul’s gambling app, Betr. The ad marks their first on-screen collaboration since the 2015 “Entourage” movie.
Piven and Grenier are not reprising their exact “Entourage” roles, and series creator Doug Ellin was not involved in the ad’s production. However, the ad aims to capture the familiar dynamic between Ari Gold and Vince Chase. In the spot, Piven’s character arrives at a Miami mansion party and attempts to gain entry, using the name “Ted Lass-hole” and mocking a security guard. He then searches for Grenier’s character, inquiring, “Where’s my pretty boy?”
The ad features appearances by Lonzo Ball, LiAngelo Ball, and Jake Paul, who promotes his digital casino. Piven pitches Grenier to Paul as the new face of the Betr app, with the intention of negotiating a lucrative deal. Piven states, “Now we negotiate… we’re going to take all his money.”
The reunion occurred earlier this year when Grenier attended one of Piven’s comedy shows in Austin, where Piven shared a photo on Instagram, noting he hadn't seen Grenier in almost a decade. In a joint statement, Piven and Grenier said, “It’s been a long time since the two of us have shared a screen, and the second we got back together, it felt like no time had passed. There’s a chemistry and shorthand that comes from everything we experienced together, and it was great to tap back into that and have some fun with it again.”
While discussions about an “Entourage” revival have occurred, Ellin recently indicated on the “Joe Vulpis Podcast” that a reboot or spinoff is unlikely unless someone is paying him to develop it.
