Google is currently testing a new AI agent, CC, designed to help families manage their households. The agent integrates with email, calendar, chats, and tasks to coordinate schedules, plan meals, and handle family-related tasks.
Initially launched as a productivity tool offering a “Your Day Ahead” briefing, CC’s development shifted after user feedback indicated a desire for assistance with household management. Users requested help with school schedules, sports practices, bills, and meal planning. As a result, Google repositioned CC to focus on family organization.
CC now operates with its own Google account, allowing it to collaborate with up to six family members while maintaining specific data access permissions. Family members can share relevant emails – such as school event notifications, sports schedules, and appointment confirmations – with CC, either by forwarding them or setting up automatic sharing based on sender. The agent can then automatically add important dates and to-dos to shared calendars or task lists.
Beyond scheduling, CC can also manage tasks like completing permission slips, creating school supply lists, planning weekly meals, calculating travel times, and generating shared documents. It will proactively request missing information and retain a “group memory” to improve its assistance over time. Google states that CC is powered by Gemini and its Antigravity agentic harness, and runs on an isolated cloud computer.
