Golf Channel has canceled the fully filmed 2026 season of *Big Break* following the PGA Tour’s decision to remove Good Good as the title sponsor of the Good Good Championship. The cancellation stems from a controversial advertisement featuring Good Good golfers.
The cable network stated, “Following recent developments involving Good Good, and including the fact that the intended outcome of the series can no longer be fulfilled, Golf Channel will not be able to complete this season of Big Break as planned.” The network expressed disappointment for the 12 competitors, the production team, and fans, but anticipates *Big Break’s* return in 2027.
*Big Break x Good Good* was a collaboration with the YouTube golf group Good Good and was set to premiere Tuesday evening. However, the premiere was initially delayed after presenting sponsor Golf Galaxy (owned by Dick’s Sporting Goods) ended its endorsement. The cancellation means the winner of *Big Break x Good Good* will not receive the sponsorship exemption into the November 12-15 Good Good Championship, a sanctioned PGA Tour event.
The PGA Tour removed Good Good as the event’s title sponsor in response to a controversial advertisement. The ad featured Good Good golfer Alexis Miestowski reaching for Good Good co-founder Garrett Clark’s Callaway driver. Clark then rushes her, knocks her down, and warns: “Do not touch my new driver.” Good Good CEO Matt Kendrick and Clark have both apologized, but the damage was done.
Golf Channel and Good Good entered a programming partnership in 2023. The canceled season was intended to be a revival of *Big Break*, which originally aired on Golf Channel from 2003-2015. Golf Channel has not revealed the identity of the winner of *Big Break x Good Good*. Good Good primarily generates revenue through merchandise sales, and both Golf Galaxy and Callaway have distanced themselves from the brand.
