John Sadak of Reds.TV exclaimed, "What a relay from Elly De La Cruz!" He further commented on the strength of the throw, stating, "The cannon from mid-center (field)! And he got him at home plate!" Chris Welsh and Jim Day also reacted with disbelief that Hernandez was thrown out by De La Cruz.
