Parnasse, who had 25 professional fights prior to joining the UFC, delivered a performance White described as that of a “true veteran” against ‘The Hangman’ Hooker. White noted Parnasse’s debut generated significant social media engagement, ranking as the third-biggest debut in UFC history behind Paddy Pimblett and Rosas Jr. He also highlighted the enthusiastic crowd response to Parnasse’s victory.
Following his win, Parnasse called out Holloway, a move White found “impressive.” White stated, “Listen, anything's interesting. I mean, the fact that guy wants to fight Max Holloway right now is impressive. I like it.” Parnasse debuted at #9 in the media panel UFC rankings after his fight.
Holloway recently defeated Conor McGregor in July and may need another win to remain a contender for the lightweight title if a rematch between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje materializes. This situation could open the door for a potential fight between Parnasse and Holloway.
