Mike Perry’s scheduled MMA fight against Dillon Danis has been canceled. Perry will now face Brandon Jenkins instead.
Perry announced Thursday at a pre-fight press conference that Danis is out of their fight, which was to take place Saturday at Duel Arena 1 inside the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. Perry stated there was “no communication” from Danis. Jenkins is an undefeated bare-knuckle sensation and a former UFC competitor.
Danis’s MMA record is either 2-0 or 3-0, depending on the source, but he is known more for his outspokenness and trolling of other fighters than for actual fighting. He has lost his two most recent RAF matches to Khamzat Chimaev and Colby Covington, a boxing match to Logan Paul in 2023, and four consecutive grappling matches between 2016 and 2017. His last MMA fight was in 2019.
This will be Mike Perry’s second MMA fight since leaving the UFC in 2021. He previously defeated Nate Diaz on the Ronda Rousey-Gina Carano undercard on the MVP MMA event on Netflix in May.
