Noah had become separated from a relative at a playground on Tuesday afternoon, prompting a large-scale effort involving over 1,300 volunteers, as well as emergency services including helicopters and dog units. His father, Rhys Woods, described Noah as “the sweetest and most innocent little boy,” and expressed the family’s devastation in a Facebook post. The search drew support from people as far away as Birmingham and Hampshire, and prompted an outpouring of compassion from the community.
Police confirmed the discovery of a child’s body and informed Noah’s family, treating the death as unexplained but not suspicious.
