The attorney representing the family of an Arizona State hockey player who collapsed during a workout has requested that the investigation be transferred from Arizona State University campus police to an impartial agency.
The attorney, in a letter obtained by ESPN Thursday, stated the need for an unbiased investigation. The letter specifically asks for an agency other than ASU to lead the probe.
According to the attorney, “'Impartial' police, not ASU, should run hockey player collapse probe.”
