A “Naruto” panel featuring Japanese voice actors and a Studio Pierrot producer will take place at New York Comic Con, promising franchise announcements and footage.
The panel, scheduled for October 10 inside the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, will cover updates across the “Naruto” animation franchise and the Naruto Card Game. Japanese voice actors Takeuchi Junko, the voice of Naruto Uzumaki, and Sugiyama Noriaki, the voice of Sasuke Uchiha, will attend alongside Tominaga Yoshihiko, executive producer at Studio Pierrot. A representative from Bandai will also be present.
Viz Media promises the panel will include an announcement related to a new animated film and its worldwide premiere, new information and the first promotional video for the Naruto Card Game, and additional surprise announcements regarding other media developments.
“Naruto” is a shonen manga created by Kishimoto Masashi, which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1999 to 2014, totaling 700 chapters. The manga has sold over 250 million copies in more than 60 countries and regions. The anime adaptation debuted on TV Tokyo in 2002 and continued as “Naruto Shippuden” from 2007 until March 2017, celebrating its 20th anniversary in October 2022. Eleven theatrical anime films have been released, and the series currently airs in over 145 countries and regions. The franchise has expanded beyond traditional media to include exhibitions, 2.5D stage musicals, music festivals, and kabuki theater.
