‘Kung Fu Soccer’ Leads China’s Summer Box Office

Stephen Chow’s “Kung Fu Soccer” was the top-grossing film of the summer in China, earning RMB2.315 billion ($344.4 million).

The overall Chinese summer box office reached RMB12.498 billion ($1.86 billion), a 4.45% increase compared to the previous year, marking two consecutive years of growth. These figures come from a new report by Maoyan Research Institute, the research arm of Maoyan Entertainment.
