Hulu has renewed the thriller series “Furious” for a second season. The series, starring Emmy Rossum, has seen growing viewership since its July 27 premiere. The season one finale will air on August 31.
“Furious” follows FBI agent Alice Black (Emmy Rossum) as she pursues a mysterious serial killer (Lola Petticrew). The series explores how their paths intertwine and the blurring of lines between right and wrong. It is loosely inspired by the 1987 film “Black Widow.”
The series was first announced in March 2025. Alongside Rossum and Petticrew, the cast includes Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Scoot McNairy, with guest appearances by Jake Lacy, Rob Delaney, Hope Davis, Rob Yang, and Steve Way. Variety’s Alison Herman praised the show’s “stellar cast” and its exploration of “female victimhood.”
Elizabeth Meriwether created, wrote, and executive produced “Furious.” Emmy Rossum executive produced for Composition 8, alongside Ronald Bass, Matt Olmstead, and Sam Hoffman. Brian Kirk executive produced and directed the first two episodes. The series is a production of 20th Television and Searchlight Television.
