Samsung has released the Galaxy S26 FE, a more affordable version of the Galaxy S26+ priced at $699.99. The device cuts back on some features of the S26+ to achieve the lower price point, which is $50 higher than last year’s Galaxy S25 FE, a price increase attributed to a shortage of RAM.
The Galaxy S26 FE incorporates features from Samsung’s latest Z Fold 8 foldables running One UI 9, including My FanCam, an AI-powered tool for motion-tracking and recropping videos for social media. Other One UI 9 additions are a customizable “Now Brief” widget and an AI-driven “Now Nudge” for proactive suggestions. The phone also features Galaxy AI tools such as a document scanner, audio eraser, and an improved Circle to Search that can recognize multiple items simultaneously.
Hardware upgrades focus on the main and ultrawide cameras, which receive new sensors for improved image sharpness and low-light performance. Camera resolutions remain at 50-megapixel for the main lens, 12-megapixel for the ultrawide, 8-megapixel with up to 30x zoom for the telephoto, and 12-megapixel for the selfie camera. The S26 FE retains a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with 1,900 nits of peak brightness, a 4,900mAh battery supporting 45W wired and 15W wireless charging, and a commitment to seven years of OS and security updates.
The device will be available with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage, in Blueberry, Pistachio, and Graphite colors. The Galaxy S26 FE will be available starting September 3.
