A new episode of the Blue-White Tailgate Pawcast will preview the Penn State Nittany Lions’ game against Buffalo and feature an interview with John Shaffer, quarterback of the 1986 national championship team. The podcast will also discuss the team’s recent performance against Temple and assess the strength of the Big Ten conference.
The podcast, hosted by York Daily Record beat reporter Frank Bodani, longtime PSU writer Mike Gross, and former TV anchor Andrew Kalista, will focus on Penn State’s upcoming game against the Buffalo Bulls on Saturday, Sept. 19, at Beaver Stadium. The hosts will discuss how the Nittany Lions can address issues with their running game and tackling before facing tougher competition.
Shaffer will share behind-the-scenes stories from Penn State’s undefeated 1986 season and their victory over Miami in the title game. The podcast will also address the question of whether the Big Ten is currently overrated following a recent weekend of college football games.
