The romantic drama “Falling,” starring KJ Apa, Isabel May, and Archie Renaux, will receive a North American theatrical release via Brainstorm Media on October 9, followed by a VOD release on November 10. The film, set in London, explores a love triangle and the challenges of modern dating.
Brainstorm Media acquired the Gulfstream Pictures film, written and directed by James and Colin Krisel. According to a description of the film, “Falling” asks: What if the woman of your dreams was also dreamt by your best friend? The story centers on an “anti-fairytale romance” and the characters’ attempts to balance relationships with personal fulfillment.
Brainstorm CEO Michelle Shwarzstein stated, “We are thrilled to be working with Gulfstream again on another fantastic romance. KJ Apa, Isabel May, and Archie Renaux have a real chemistry on screen, and it’s exactly what makes this love triangle so fun to watch.” Gulfstream principals added that they were “thrilled to see this gem of a film find its way to a theatrical release with such a stellar cast.”
Producers on “Falling” include Mike Karz and Bill Bindley of Gulfstream Pictures, Matt Luber and Lena Roklin of Luber Roklin Entertainment, and Piers Tempest of Tempo Productions. KJ Apa, Dakota Rosen, and Tom Salentine are executive producers. The project was financed by Gulfstream Pictures and Clerendon Road Productions. Gulfstream has also financed other titles, including “Pretty Lethal,” “Upgraded,” “One Fast Move” starring Apa, and “The Other Zoey” starring Renaux, which have been picked up by Amazon MGM for worldwide distribution.
