John Hinckley Jr., who attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan in 1981, recently shared a message for actress Jodie Foster explaining he wishes her well.
Hinckley made the statement during an appearance on the “Mark Joseph Show,” as reported by EW. He stated, “I just wish Jodie Foster well, you know.” The attempt on Reagan’s life occurred 45 years ago and was motivated by Hinckley's desire to impress Foster.
The Oklahoma native shot President Reagan on March 30, 1981, along with three others. He developed an obsession with Foster after seeing her in the film *Taxi Driver*. His actions were a desperate attempt to gain her attention and approval.
