Jimmy Kimmel won the Outstanding Host for a Game Show Emmy Award for his work on ABC’s *Who Wants To Be A Millionaire*. This marks his second consecutive win in the category, having received the award for the same show last year.
Kimmel beat out Steve Harvey (*Celebrity Family Feud*), Ken Jennings (*Jeopardy!*), Colin Jost (*Pop Culture Jeopardy!*) and Martin Short (*Match Game*) to claim the prize. Accepting the award at the Peacock Theater, Kimmel joked, “Thank you to whoever decided to put our category first because we won last year and it was nothing but seat fillers.”
*Jeopardy!* secured the Outstanding Game Show award for the fourth year in a row since the category moved out of the daytime Emmys in 2023. The show defeated *Who Wants To Be A Millionaire*, *Celebrity Family Feud*, *The Price Is Right*, and *Wheel of Fortune*. Michael Davies executive produces *Jeopardy!*, with Sarah Whitcomb Foss and Bari Jean Dorman serving as co-executive producers.
Kimmel is also a favorite to win the Outstanding Variety Series award at the Primetime Emmys on September 14, competing against Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, Saturday Night Live, and *The Daily Show*. This year’s competition combines the Outstanding Talk Series and Outstanding Scripted Variety Series categories.
