Several Stark County-area high school football games took place on Friday, August 21, 2026, with notable plays from McKinley, Harding, Perry, Massillon, and Northwest.
During the game between McKinley and Harding, DeMarco Richardson Jr. made a long gain. Harding’s Elias Johnson broke up a pass intended for Richardson. McKinley’s Dwoyne Robinson returned an interception 98 yards for a touchdown after Harding attempted a fourth-and-goal from the 4-yard line.
In a game at Wakefield Stadium, Perry defeated Canton Central Catholic. Everett Daugherty completed a catch for Perry, while Avery Blake broke away on a long run. Jonathan Lemon scored four touchdowns for Perry.
Massillon played against Cleveland Glenville at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium. Braylon Gamble dove for yardage, and Gio Jackson scored a first-half touchdown. Deontay Malone also scored a first-half touchdown with a catch, and Savior Owens scored in the second half. Northwest faced Alliance in Canal Fulton. Ty Lipkins made a long catch for a first down. Conner Stephenson recovered a loose ball in the end zone for the game's first touchdown after an Alliance fumble.
