Google has announced a new experimental AI agent, CC, designed to be a shared resource for families. The agent builds upon previous Google experiments and leverages the company’s access to user data to provide personalized assistance and information.
CC will function with its own Google account, allowing up to six family members to interact with it. Access is controlled by users, who can choose to share specific emails – such as school scheduling information – or content via email and Google Chat. The agent can also monitor a shared Google Drive folder for relevant documents and invitations.
One of CC’s core features is a daily “Your Day Ahead” email, similar to Gemini’s Daily Brief, which compiles events and task updates for all registered users. It can also manage shared calendars, provide reminders, and create accessible documents. Google states that the agent aims to expand customization by leveraging the context of a family’s existing Google data.
