Alan Cumming secured his third consecutive Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys. He won for his work on *The Traitors*, defeating nominees including RuPaul, Kristen Kish, Ariana Madix, and Jeff Probst.
Cumming was not present to accept the award. Johnny Bananas, a former contestant on *The Traitors*, accepted on his behalf, joking that he would not relinquish the trophy “until you bring me back on the show” after being eliminated early. Cumming previously won the category in the past two years, ending RuPaul’s eight-year winning streak in 2024.
*The Traitors* is nominated for seven Emmys this year, including reality competition program, production design, cinematography, costumes, picture editing and directing. The show has received a total of 17 nominations throughout its history. The Creative Arts Emmys, which honor mostly below-the-line achievements, were presented over two days at the Peacock Theater. These awards are not televised and precede the Primetime Emmys on September 14. The 78th Emmy Awards, hosted by Mariska Hargitay, will air live on NBC and stream on Peacock.
