Wyndham Clark took a commanding five-stroke lead at the BMW Championship on Saturday after a strong recovery from a difficult start to his round. Clark fired a 65, surging ahead of the competition.
Clark began his round with a double bogey on the opening hole but quickly rebounded, regaining a share of the lead with Gary Woodland. He achieved this by sinking a birdie putt on the fourth hole, which he described as just "wobbling in."
Clark continued his impressive play with a superb wedge shot from deep rough on the seventh hole, resulting in another birdie. This performance allowed him to build a substantial lead, finishing the day five strokes ahead of his nearest competitor.
