Rhian Edmunds’ Commonwealth Games campaign ended prematurely after a crash during her opening keirin heat in Glasgow. The 23-year-old Welsh cyclist has been ruled out of the repechage and will not continue competing.
The incident occurred on the final day of competition, bringing an abrupt halt to Edmunds' Games after she had already secured one gold and one bronze medal.
Emma Finucane also competed in the keirin heats, successfully advancing to the next round by winning her heat. She is aiming for an historic fourth Games gold in Glasgow.
