Canonical today published Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS, the first point release in the long-term support series for the “Resolute Raccoon.” The release incorporates bug and security updates collected as stable release updates (SRUs) since the April release of Ubuntu 26.04 LTS.
This initial point release focuses on providing a quicker and more pleasant installation experience by bundling fixes accumulated over the past four months. According to the announcement, Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS does not include any new hardware enablement (HWE) stack with a newer kernel.
The HWE stack will be included in Ubuntu 26.04.2 LTS, which will follow the Ubuntu 26.10 release. Details and downloads for Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS are available via the mailing list announcement.
