Last season, Texas A&M finished with an 11-2 record and competed in the College Football Playoff, losing to eventual national runner-up Miami. A win against Missouri State would be the 20th of head coach Mike Elko’s tenure; he previously coached the Aggies to an 8-4 record. Missouri State is entering the season under first-year head coach Casey Woods.
The point spread has Texas A&M favored by 40½ points, with the over/under set at 53½ points. The weather forecast predicts a slight chance of rain near kickoff, with temperatures in the low to mid 80s.
