Sony Pictures has acquired international distribution rights for the upcoming two-part Indian mythological epic, “Ramayana.” The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios, will be distributed in all territories outside of India.
The deal encompasses global distribution excluding India, where Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions will handle the release. "Ramayana" tells the story of the exiled prince Rama and his wife Sita.
