According to Bleacher Report, Scheffler stated, “I’ve been dealing with hand, foot and mouth. It’s just a really good reminder of how blessed I am to be out here doing what I love.” He did not elaborate on how the illness specifically affected his game, but acknowledged the physical discomfort.
The BMW Championship concluded Sunday, with Scheffler finishing tied for 30th place. He qualified for the Tour Championship, which begins Thursday.
