Former "60 Minutes" correspondents Scott Pelley and Sharyn Alfonsi have been appointed journalists-in-residence at Columbia University’s School of Journalism. The positions will begin during the 2026-2027 academic term.
The appointments, announced Monday, will see both Pelley and Alfonsi working directly with students through a variety of methods. These include lectures, workshops, and participation in special events at the university’s journalism school. However, the appointments signal a commitment from Columbia University to bring experienced professionals into its educational programs.
