Former Clemson wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud has been released by the Chicago Bears after receiving an injury settlement. McCloud, a sixth-round NFL Draft pick in 2018, has played for multiple teams throughout his professional career.
McCloud entered the league with the Buffalo Bills and has since played for the Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, and most recently, the Chicago Bears. He also had a workout with the Detroit Lions during the preseason. Throughout his NFL career, he has recorded 159 receptions for 1,523 yards and two touchdowns.
Beyond his work as a receiver, McCloud has made a significant impact on special teams, accumulating 1,326 punt return yards and 2,890 kickoff return yards. Prior to his NFL career, McCloud was a five-star prospect at Clemson, where he played in 40 games, starting 20. During his time with the Tigers, he recorded 127 receptions for 1,226 yards and four touchdowns, along with 485 punt return yards and a touchdown, and 148 yards on kickoff returns. He is now seeking a new NFL opportunity.
