The Texas Rangers defeated the Los Angeles Angels 2-1 Friday night in a game decided in the 10th inning. Wyatt Langford played a key role, driving in the tying run and ultimately scoring the winning run due to a defensive error.
The game remained scoreless through nine innings before the Angels took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 10th. Denzer Guzman hit an RBI double, putting Los Angeles ahead in the eighth MLB game this season that was scoreless going into extra innings.
In the bottom of the 10th, Wyatt Langford hit an RBI double to tie the game. With two outs and an intentional walk preceding it, Ezequiel Duran hit a grounder to third base. While Guzman made a nice stop on the play, his ensuing throw allowed Langford to score the winning run. The final score was 2-1 in favor of the Texas Rangers.
