The 34th Raindance Film Festival has unveiled its complete program ahead of its summer run. Organizers have confirmed that the event is set to take place in London from June 17 to June 26. The festival's return features a comprehensive slate of cinematic works, ranging from narrative and documentary features to short films and immersive projects.
Detailed figures regarding the lineup reveal a substantial collection of works being presented. The program includes a total of 85 narrative and documentary features. Alongside these features, the festival will showcase 112 short films. Rounding out the selection are 27 immersive projects, ensuring a varied experience for attendees.
A notable aspect of the feature selection is the representation of new filmmaking talent. Of the features scheduled, 48 come from first-time directors. This figure represents 56% of the total features, highlighting the festival's dedication to emerging voices in the film industry.
In a move to expand its competitive scope, the festival has introduced a new award category. A best horror feature prize has been added to the competition slate. This addition marks a specific effort to recognize genre filmmaking within the framework of the 34th Raindance Film Festival.
