The New York Post has partnered with Crazy Legs Productions to adapt stories from its archives into film and television content. The collaboration will focus on true crime, pop culture, and sports, drawing from both The New York Post and its recently launched California Post publication.
The deal will see Atlanta-based Crazy Legs Productions, represented by CAA, develop scripted and unscripted projects. Troy Searer, president of New York Post Entertainment, stated, “We’re excited to partner with Crazy Legs Productions to extend the reach of our top-shelf journalism beyond the page. The Post has always delivered stories that capture attention and spark conversation. This partnership creates a perfect opportunity to bring those stories to life for audiences across film and television.”
Crazy Legs Productions’ credits include the TLC series *1000-LB Sisters*, *Tech Bro Murders* for Investigation Discovery, and HBO’s *The Great Lillian Hall*, starring Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates. Company founder and CEO Tom Cappello said, “Crazy Legs has built its reputation on producing bold, character-driven storytelling across genres. The New York Post is one of the most iconic storytelling brands in the country, with an unmatched ability to uncover stories that are provocative, emotional, and inherently cinematic. We’re excited to build a slate of premium projects together.”
This move follows similar initiatives by other major newspapers, including The New York Times and The Washington Post, to adapt their reporting into screen-based content.
