Microsoft launches Scout AI assistant for Microsoft 365 at Build conference

Microsoft has launched Scout, a new AI personal assistant, at its Build conference. The assistant is built on OpenClaw and is designed to integrate with the Microsoft 365 system.

According to TechCrunch, Microsoft Scout is meant to bring the power and flexibility of OpenClaw into Microsoft 365. The assistant was unveiled at Build, Microsoft's developer conference.

The Verge reported that Microsoft Scout is an always-on assistant that integrates into Microsoft 365 applications. These applications include Outlook, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.

The launch follows a similar move by Google, which has also launched its own version of OpenClaw, according to The Verge. Both companies are developing AI assistants built on the OpenClaw platform.

Scout's integration with Microsoft 365 apps positions the assistant within the company's existing productivity ecosystem. Users will be able to access the assistant through Outlook for email management, OneDrive for cloud storage, and Microsoft Teams for workplace communication.

The assistant is described as bringing OpenClaw's capabilities into the Microsoft 365 environment. The always-on functionality means Scout remains available within these applications during use.

Microsoft announced Scout at Build, the company's annual developer conference. The event serves as a platform for Microsoft to showcase new products and features for developers and enterprise customers.
