A Latvian man, Dolars Aleksanders, has been extradited to the United Kingdom and charged with death by dangerous driving following the hit-and-run death of 12-year-old Keaton Slater in Coventry in 2024. West Midlands Police confirmed the 23-year-old was charged on Wednesday and is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today.
The extradition follows a period of more than two years after the incident occurred. The case will now proceed through the British legal system, with Aleksanders’s initial appearance scheduled for court this week.
