Garmin has introduced the Cirqa health tracker as a competitor to Whoop, focusing on data provision without unnecessary features. The device aims to provide comprehensive health metrics for users interested in detailed physiological tracking.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Garmin’s new Cirqa health tracker is designed to offer a wealth of data “with no distractions.” Unlike many fitness trackers, the Cirqa prioritizes raw data and analysis over gamification or social features. The device monitors heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, sleep stages, and activity levels.
The Cirqa differentiates itself by focusing on providing users with detailed physiological information without pushing notifications or encouraging constant engagement. According to the WSJ, this approach is intended for individuals who are already data-driven and seek a deeper understanding of their health metrics. The device currently lacks GPS functionality but offers four days of battery life.
The Cirqa is available now through Garmin’s website with prices starting at $239.99 for the device itself, or as part of a subscription bundle that includes access to Garmin's full suite of health and fitness data analysis tools.
