IMG Academy wide receiver Eric McFarland, ranked as the No. 3 player at his position by ESPN in the Class of 2027, has committed to play football for Texas A&M University.
The five-star recruit made his decision on Sunday, choosing the Aggies over several other prominent programs including Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. McFarland is a 5-foot-8, 180-pound athlete currently playing at IMG Academy in Florida.
ESPN ranks McFarland as the third best wide receiver available in the 2027 recruiting class. His commitment represents a significant win for Texas A&M’s football program as they build their roster for future seasons.
