Horror author Clive Barker is releasing a new three-book anthology series, “Library of the Dead,” exclusively through a Kickstarter campaign launching August 18. The series is described as a spiritual successor to Barker’s acclaimed “Books of Blood.”
The new project consists of three volumes: “Fear Eternal,” “Pyres of Bedlam,” and “Dark Descents.” According to Variety, the anthology will bring together a collection of horror stories.
Barker intends to fund and release the series directly to fans via Kickstarter, bypassing traditional publishing routes. The launch date for the Kickstarter campaign is set for August 18. The project is intended to evoke the same spirit as Barker’s earlier work, the “Books of Blood,” which helped establish him as a prominent figure in the horror genre.
