Canton girls and Massena boys win Section 10 lacrosse championships

Canton girls and Massena boys claimed Overall Section 10 Playoff crowns Tuesday to go with their NAC crowns and sectional titles. Both programs secured championship victories on the day, with each team adding to their collection of titles for the season.

The Lady Bears (17-1) downed Potsdam (7-10) 14-3 in the girls championship. Canton, known as the Golden Bears, utilized a committee of go-to scorers in the contest. Maddie Ayrassian scored three goals with two assists, and Saige Blevins also scored three goals with two assists for the team.

The offensive production from Ayrassian and Blevins helped Canton secure the 14-3 victory over Potsdam. The Lady Bears' championship added to their existing NAC crown and sectional title for the season.

In boys lacrosse, Massena downed Potsdam 17-6 to claim their Overall Section 10 Playoff crown. The victory gave Massena boys the Overall Section 10 championship. The win added to their previously earned NAC crown and sectional title.

Both Canton girls and Massena boys emerged from Tuesday's competition with Overall Section 10 Playoff crowns. Each program now holds Overall Section 10 Playoff crowns alongside their NAC crowns and sectional titles from the season.
