At least 27 people were killed and 63 injured when a fire broke out at the Na Ladprao pub in Bangkok early Monday morning. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed the death toll to local media.
The blaze erupted around midnight, quickly engulfing the venue in flames. Footage shared by first responders shows large plumes of smoke and intense fire raging from the front door. Firefighters reportedly took approximately half an hour to bring the fire under control.
The cause of the fire remains unknown and is currently under investigation. Authorities have not released details regarding potential ignition sources or safety violations at the pub.
