Austrian filmmaker Manuel Wetscher’s feature debut, “Eklipse,” will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in the Horizons section. The film stars Moritz Hohlrieder and Finley Brown and is inspired by Wetscher’s own experiences.
The film centers on a teen who faces silence and rejection after his father is diagnosed with “the gay disease.
“Eklipse” is Wetscher’s first feature film. The Venice Film Festival is a prestigious international film festival, and the Horizons section is dedicated to new and innovative cinematic voices. The premiere will allow Wetscher to showcase his work to a global audience and introduce audiences to the story and the actors Moritz Hohlrieder and Finley Brown.
