Apple TV emerged as the most awarded studio at the Emmys this year with 28 trophies, largely due to the success of “Widow’s Bay.” HBO Max followed with 21 Emmys, and Netflix secured 16.
“Widow’s Bay” garnered a total of 14 Emmys. The comedy series had already won eight awards at the Creative Arts Emmys, including wins for Betty Gilpin as guest comedy actress, comedy casting, and music supervision. At the Primetime Emmys, it added six more: outstanding comedy series, lead comedy actor Matthew Rhys, supporting comedy actor Stephen Root, supporting comedy actress Kate O’Flynn, comedy writing, and comedy directing.
HBO Max’s success was driven by “DTF St. Louis” and “The Pitt,” which each won seven awards and were named outstanding limited series and outstanding drama series, respectively. These shows tied with “The Traitors” on Peacock and “The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny” on NBC for the second-most wins overall.
“Pluribus,” with six awards, tied with “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” as the third winningest show. “Spider-Noir” earned five wins, while “The Muppet Show” and “Beef” each secured four, all at the Creative Arts Emmys. Netflix’s 16 wins were distributed across several programs, including “Beef,” “Love on the Spectrum,” “Bridgerton,” and “The Beast in Me.”
