Anushka Sharma will captain the India A women’s team in the upcoming T20 series against Australia A, while Yastika Bhatia will lead the side in the One-Day and multi-day matches. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) women's selection committee announced the squads on Thursday.
The India A tour of Australia begins September 12 and will consist of three T20s, three One-Day matches, and a four-day multi-day game. The T20 series will be held in New Chandigarh, followed by the One-Day matches at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. The four-day match will take place in Dharamsala.
Anushka Sharma will lead the T20 team with Sayali Satghare as her deputy. The T20 squad also includes Vrinda Dinesh, Sujata Dey, Tejal Hasabnis, Nikki Prasad, Shipra Giri, Shweta Sehrawat, Uma Chetry, Tanuja Kanwer, Minnu Mani, Vaishnavi Sharma, Jintimani Kalita, Shabnam Shakeel, and Simran Dil Bahadur.
Yastika Bhatia will captain the India A team in both the One-Day and four-day formats, with Anushka Sharma serving as her vice-captain. Priya Punia, Tanisha Singh, Tejal Hasabnis, Nikki Prasad, Uma Chetry, and Vaishnavi Sharma are included in both the One-Day and multi-day squads. The full One-Day squad includes Yastika Bhatia (C) (WK), Anushka Sharma (VC), Vrinda Dinesh, Priya Punia, Tanisha Singh, Tejal Hasabnis, Nikki Prasad, Uma Chetry (WK), Minnu Mani, Amandeep Kaur, Vaishnavi Sharma, Sayali Satghare, Jintimani Kalita, Shabnam Shakeel, and Akshita Bhagat.
The multi-day squad consists of Yastika Bhatia (C) (WK), Anushka Sharma (VC), Shubha Satheesh, Priya Punia, Tanisha Singh, Tejal Hasabnis, Nikki Prasad, Mamata Madiwala (WK), Sushree Dibyadarshini, Shuchi Upadhyay, Vaishnavi Sharma, Sayali Satghare, Jintimani Kalita, Shabnam Shakeel, and Akshita Bhagat. The tour is scheduled to conclude on October 2 with the multi-day game in Dharamsala.
